Whats so special about our soaps?

Sweet Peacock soaps contain Glycerin. This is a clear compound widely renowned for its excellent moisturising properties. Glycerin dissolves readily in water and it also absorbs humidity directly from the air which helps keep your skin feeling beautifully soft and continuously moisturised. Glycerin soap also allows your skin to breathe freely and has been found to have therapeutic properties through scientific research.
 
Glycerin soap is especially good for sensitive skins prone to conditions such as excema, psoriasis and dermatitis and of course is perfect for the delicate skins of babies and young children.
 
In traditional soap making, fat and lye are mixed together and glycerin is a byproduct of that process. Some commercial soap makers take the glycerin out of the soap and use it instead in lotions or other bathing products that they can sell for a higher price than soap. Thus many store bought soaps could actually dry out your skin!
