The word “Chakra” is an ancient Sanskrit word which can be roughly translated as “wheel” in English. There are seven major Chakra points, or energy centres, on our bodies, and about forty secondary ones. Then there are many others which would have small and specific functions. Some ancient writings refer to a total as vast as 88,000 Chakra points on the human body!
The colours chosen when making Sweet Peacock Soaps are linked to the seven major Chakra points that flow through the core of the body: the Base, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Third Eye and Crown, as they are known in English.
These Chakra Points continuously spin either left or right, and a Chakra which spins to the right creates a stronger energy vibration than one which spins to the left. As men and women’s main Chakra points rotate in opposite directions, they complement each other’s energy.
The male base Chakra spins to the right, giving males a stronger sense of mastery, of conquest etc. Moving up the Chakras, the female spin of the Sacral Chakra is to the right, giving them a stronger sense on sensuality, enthusiasm, eroticism. At the Solar Plexus, the male’s spin is again to the right, working on issues such as strength, influence and power, whilst at the Heart Chakra the women’s spin is to the right, working on issues of love, compassion, healing. And so it continues up the system of the seven main Chakras, each male and female attribute complementing the other.
I believe we can all benefit greatly from being more aware of our Chakra System. By paying particular attention to any one Chakra, we can invoke the healing of certain issues that fall under the jurisdiction of that energy centre.
